I am recently diagnosed with osteoporosis at age 65. I do yoga 2-3 times a week and walk long distances when I can. We eat an organic diet and take a variety of supplements. My husband has had early onset Alzheimer’s for the last 8 years and I have been living with a lot of stress. I am his caretaker. I just realized I have been taking calcium carbonate for years. I have been trying to research the best supplementation and am getting inundated with ads for AlgaeCal and other supplement programs that claim to increase bone density. I do not want to take the medication that is encouraged by my doctor. I feel like time is not on my side so I want to find the best choice NOW, and not waste time and money on things that won’t work. Please help steer me in the right direction.
